Training

The "Meister Programm"

ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer has for some time recognised that those personnel responsible for the smoother running of dies are in short supply. We have therefore developed along with our colleagues in Germany a system called the Meister Program. The process can lead to an Advanced Toolmaker Certificate:
Objective : To expose existing toolmakers and skilled personnel to those aspects of tool making and die preparation not normally associated with maintenance type tool shops. The skills gathered by these key personnel will then be available to others in their work group to deal more complex tool making issues.

Method :

  • Step 1, Assessment to identify Skills Gap and Fundamental Training Requirements and timing.
  • Step 2, Identify source of suitable skills for the required Specialist Training.
  • Step 3, Modular training combining theoretical and practical learning to coach the toolmaker in the improvement of their skills.
  • Step 4, Re-assessment of the toolmaker to gauge assimilation.
  • Step 5, Integration of specialist skills into the existing team structure.
