System Optimisation

Drauz Nothelfer has a long track record of successfully identifying and implementing process improvements which allow the realisation of the true capacity for any Manufacturing System.

Using a range of Best Practice assessment tools, including Computer Simulation of the process, Drauz Nothelfer Manufacturing Engineers will identify bottleneck areas, and verify solutions to these bottlenecks prior to implementation.

In addition, on-site evaluation of the process will be carried out to identify potential areas of improvement, by minimising non-value added work, and completing a survey to establish whether automating key processes will improve the throughput and/or quality of the complete process.

Lean Manufacturing

The implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques is second nature to Drauz Nothelfer manufacturing specialists.

We can assist you in establishing the best way to implement Lean Manufacturing processes within your current System, or by designing a new Facility using Lean Manufacturing principles, including ‘No Faults Forward’.

Assistance in preparing Value Steam Maps for your process, and in assessing individual processes to establish the value added and non-value added elements using Yamazumi techniques can also be offered.

Drauz-Nothelfer can also advise on the organisation of the Facility with respect to Logistics and Inventory Control, using current Best Practice techniques such as Just In Time and KanBan.

System Cycletime Reduction

After identifying bottleneck areas within a process, Drauz Nothelfer Manufacturing specialists are able to establish optimised solutions for improving the throughput within these areas.

This may be by either changing the process sequence or content, or by looking at the way that the control of the automated process is configured to eliminate interface related delays.

In each case, attention is given to providing for redundancy within the process to ensure that throughput is maintained even when equipment is unavailable.

System Reliability & Maintainability

Drauz Nothelfer has a proven reputation for designing and installing Automated Systems with very high levels of reliability.

This is achieved by attention to detail in design, ensuring that the individual parts within the system are as robust as practical, and that key equipment within the system is selected from the most reliable and highest quality available.

In addition, attention to detail in design to allow easy access to key parts, and the early identification of potential issues by the use of Vibration, Thermal or Fluid Analysis techniques ensure maximised uptime.

Drauz-Nothelfer is also able to apply these techniques to improve the reliability of existing systems, by analysis of the system design using FMEA techniques and breakdown data, and by observing the process in action.

From these different analysis techniques, an action plan can be formulated and implemented to address the key areas that are affecting the performance of the process.
